As an editor, Glen has worked primarily in educational publishing developing textbooks for use in schools and universities across Canada. As a writer, he has published articles on topics ranging from children’s health to bluegrass music.
Julie Van Rosendaal, our Food Section editor, is a best-selling cookbook author who teaches classes, appears on TV and radio, and demonstrates her culinary expertise at events and benefits across Canada. She is also
a regular contributor to newspapers and magazines and is the food and nutrition columnist on the Calgary Eyeopener on CBC Radio.
Kylie-Jane Degeling is a former mountain pilot, aviation writer, and flight instructor living in Edmonton, Alta. She used to wonder whether there were more frightening, yet rewarding jobs than teaching students how to land airplanes, and soon found out—parenting. Today, she flies paper planes with her husband Alex, daughter Jezzy, and son Jordan, while worrying whether the aircraft flying overhead are piloted by her former students.
Jade Wallace is our youngest contributor at 18 years of age. Scot Ritchie is a freelance illustrator who lives in Vancouver, B.C. He’s been drawing for as long as he can remember and loves his work. To date he’s illustrated 33 books and even written one. He lives right next door to the ocean and some of his best ideas come from running on the beach.
